I'm a farmer's wife, a homeschooling mama of four, and a girl who has never met a table she didn't want to fill with good food and good friends. I've been building creative businesses for over a decade,
and I plan Disney vacations for a living.
I've been going to Disney since I was almost two and enjoying beach vacays before I could walk.
But what lights me up most is watching a woman who usually takes care of everyone else finally sit down,
take a deep breath, make new friends, and laugh until her cheeks hurt. That's why Rest & Play exists.

- I've been to Disney more times than I can count...and I still get emotional when I see Cinderella's castle.
- Our house is full: my husband, our four kids, two dogs, a cat, and about ten chickens. Quiet is a rare treat!

- I can't give away secret spots, but I will say that the west end of 30A is MUCH calmer than those places all over your socials.

In 2021, life was full. We were in the beginning of our homeschool journey, we were figuring out life, my favorite creative conference was on pause, I was running my small business, and I was desperately missing time with my friends. Life was good, but the things that really filled me up kept getting squeezed out: creating just for fun, lingering with friends over a meal, time with God that didn't feel rushed, and conversations without one eye on the clock.
So, I took a chance and did something a little brave. I invited a handful of women to the coast for a laid-back weekend together and hoped they needed it as much as I did.
They did.
We shared good food, beach walks, big ideas, and so much laughter!
And everyone had the freedom to choose what she needed, whether that was joining every conversation, or slipping away for a nap.
Five years later, that freedom is still at the heart of Rest & Play. Some of the women from that very first retreat still come back. We've added new friends, new traditions, and now we’re taking that same heart from the coast to the castle. But the heart hasn't changed. My hope is that you'll feel welcomed from the moment you arrive and go home with memories and friendships you're so glad you made.
